EDGE Continues Work on Second Largest Enhancement Grant in the State of Tennessee

EDGE is currently working on a greenway and streetscape improvement related to the City of Columbia, Tennessee’s River Greenbelt. Specific project tasks include modifying pedestrian circulation patterns to meet with current ADA requirements and providing solutions for extreme transitions in topography as it relates to walks and trails. Other components include utility relocation from overhead to underground, preparation of landscape plans, selection of site furnishings and assisting the City during the bid process.

The Duck River is one of the most biologically diverse rivers in North America, boasting 39 species of freshwater mussels and 84 species of fish. Approximately 37 miles of the Duck River in Maury County received the designation of State Scenic River, marking it as one of only 13 such rivers in Tennessee. The Duck’s scenic section, begins at Iron Bridge Road near Columbia and extends upstream to the Maury and Marshall County line.
