The I-40 Corridor/Jefferson Street Beautification project was the pilot project for the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Roadscapes program. The program aims to create well-planned landscape beautification that boosts the area’s economy and improves the quality of life for its citizens. EDGE led the Jefferson Street community through a public process that resulted in a design solution that responded to the surrounding neighborhood and created the framework for restoring pride to the Historical Jefferson Street District.
