Julia brings a thoughtful balance of creativity and intention to the EDGE team, guided by her passion for urban resilience, sustainability, and historical context. With experience spanning public and private sectors, she has contributed to a wide array of projects—from public parks and neighborhood plans to multifamily and mixed-use developments. Her talent for 3D modeling and planting design helps bridge vision and execution, ensuring outdoor spaces are not only beautiful but beneficial to people and ecosystems alike.
Her journey into landscape architecture began with an exploration of urban sociology and planning, where design courses sparked her fascination with shaping space through visual tools like CAD, Photoshop, and 3D modeling. That early discovery now fuels her work today—deepened by her certification as an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist, which brings an added layer of expertise and ecological sensitivity to her planting strategies.
Julia especially enjoys working with species like Stachys byzantina (lamb’s ear), a plant she admires for its shimmery sage color and soft, tactile quality. She finds inspiration in a naturalistic design approach that embraces seasonal change, favoring perennials and grasses that remain expressive throughout the year.
Whether solo backpacking through the volcanic mountains of the Azores or tracing her roots in Greece, Julia is drawn to landscapes with a story. At EDGE, she brings that same narrative lens to every design, ensuring each space is rooted in context, memory, and lasting impact.
