A unique layout in a convenient location
Located 25 miles south of Nashville in Franklin Tennessee, Lockwood Glen is an ~220-acre Master Planned Community which contains 400 single-family lots and 240 multi-family units. This unique residential layout provides a variety of lot sizes and options for homeowners that are distinctive in character, design, and quality.
The site amenities include a two-acre Boulevard Park with trail and play areas, with multiple playgrounds and pocket parks located throughout the Community. The activity “hub” is the Lockwood Glen Residents’ Club which includes a resort-style pool with beach style entry access, yoga lawn, basketball court, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit. The entrances to the site are heavily landscaped with custom signage to provide a fitting gateway into the Community.
Acres of open space and a new city park
EDGE coordinated with the City of Franklin to realign the proposed parkway through the site to provide 77 acres of open space that includes the Harpeth River and an ~30-acre lake. In addition, EDGE worked with the City of Franklin Parks Department to provide conceptual plans to create a passive city park in this area that will include fishing docks, trails, picnic areas, maintained lawns, amphitheater, playgrounds, and a proposed canoe launch into the Harpeth River.
Throughout the project, which began in 2006, EDGE has been the lead consultant and has led the land planning and entitlement efforts for all phases of development. EDGE has also provided all the project’s site design and landscape architectural services.
